The Vinyl Whistle: Independent Record Shop- Open Decks for International Womens Day – Sunday March 8th GMT 3pm til 9pm.
Ital Roots (Nattylyn Maddix-Butler (MA) is working in partnership with the Independent record shop Vinyl Whistle promoting opportunity for connectivity through music & providing an alternative family friendly day out.
This year’s theme is “Give to Gain” and “Rights, Justice & Action” (UN & the charity IWD)
Join the VW Team & friends for a refreshment (drinks for sale), records for sale & listening deck downstairs in the nook. Network with like minded musicians, composers, creators & song writers at this kitch event in a welcoming inclusive environment.
It promises to be a memorable Sunday afternoon in the heart of historic Headingley LS6 (West Leeds Ward) the event aims to promote the international contribution to music by women & girls.
All young people aged under 18 must be supervised in the store, during the event.
The Vinyl Whistle Team (Adam & Neil) look forward to hosting & celebrating Women’s History Month & as allies we promote diversity within our store & have a strong customer base.
We welcome you to join Nattylyn & guests for our first Sunday International Women’s Day session 2026 with live DJ hosts. *CCJs and Vinyl can be played on the decks in the boutique independent record store located in the heart of Headingley, Otley Rd

Only one DJ slot per person (first come first booked) any cancellations please notify 24hrs prior the shop direct, this gives opportunity for others to play.
PAYF event – donate on the day…suggested event donation £5 *this goes towards music administration, promotion/marketing – Thankyou in advance.
