Join us for a smooth Saturday featuring the best classic Northern Soul and Motown, R&B, SKA and Popular Soul music presented by Original Scene Legends plus Life Long and Next Gen Soul Sisters and Rude Girls.

Our very special guest joining us live for this edition of Women of Soul is Johnny Boy Pryers. Johnny’s show consists of songs from his influences of classic soul, from Motown, Ric Tic Labels and many more classics from the Northern and Rare Soul Scene by artists including James Brown, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Eddie Holman, Jackie Wilson, Dean Parrish, Spyder Turner, The Temptations, Nolan Porter, Jimmy Radcliffe, Terry Callier, Ben E King, Gene Chandler, Edwin Starr and many more! Over the last 20 years, Johnny has worked alongside many legendary original Soul, Motown and Northern Soul artists performing at gigs and festivals across the UK.
…and from our DJs expect dance-floor fillers, rare vinyl and non-stop dancing right through to 11pm!
Left Bank is a beautiful Grade II* Listed Former Church Building in the heart of Hyde Park in Leeds – home to good vibes, a solid dance floor and plenty of tables and seating to relax and take a breath throughout the event.
Our DJs for this session will take you on a journey through their collections – headed up by Ell Vasey (Smokestack/2FUNKiE) our house team includes DJs Delia, Ruth Cherry and Janet Mae alongside Julie Menzies and Shirley Stevenson.

Tickets are £8. There’s ample free parking around Left Bank if you are driving to us, we are a 5 minute walk from Burley Station and the number 19 bus stops just outside the venue.
