Home Educator Musical Museum Day
Join us for fun and inclusive event for home educated families. We’ll learning and making music and dane with local artists and dancers to connect with our special exhibition Music Leeds Us.
The day will include:
– Breakdance demos
– Dance workshop with Phil from Hello Hip Hop
– Drum workshop with local musician Dave
– Live piano music (thanks to Leeds Piano Trail)
– Time to explore the Music Leeds Us exhibition (optional Mini Musicians trail available)
– BYO picnic or visit the café
Booking information
Cost: £8 per child. Sibling discount available. Minimum age 5 years.
To access the sibling discount, select an £8 ticket and any added-on sibling ticket will discount to £5
This is a bigger home ed day than usual, so it may be a little busier. We will limit numbers per workshop for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment. All children attending need a ticket. Adults must accompany (and join in the fun!).
Please email city.museum@leeds.gov.uk after you have booked to discuss any SEN / access requirements.
If your friend books on and you’d like to request to be in the same group, please email us ahead of the day. We’ll try to accommodate this but cannot guarantee. We will also send further information and an itinerary to everyone booked on ahead of the day.
Time: 10am-2.30pm. Please aim to arrive at the museum for 10am, the main event starts at 10.15am
No music or dance experience needed.
Bring your own lunch or eat in the Herbairum Cafe.
