Funeral Parade of Roses
From the mind of visionary director Toshio Matsumoto, the story follows Eddie, a trans woman working at an underground gay bar in 60s Tokyo. The story loosely adapts Greek Tragedy and uses avant-garde techniques to offer an unparalleled look at under-represented groups in a rapidly changing society, as well as redefining what cinema can be.
Content warning for scenes of graphic violence and sex, incest, themes of suicide and transphobic language.
