A rare screening of a cult made-for-TV murder mystery
During a matinee screening of a spaghetti western, a cinema patron is shot dead by an unseen assassin. With the doors locked and the audience back in their seats, the police run the film again in a bid to reveal the killer.
Made for Italian television in 1978, CLOSED CIRCUIT never received a wide theatrical release. At once a fun whodunit, a love letter to the cinema going experience and a sharp critique of on screen violence, it deserves to be seen with a room full of movie lovers. Join us for a Scalarama screening of this metaphysical murder mystery!
