Poetry Walk, Kirkstall! Leeds Season of Culture 2026
Join us for a creative walk with poet Sammy Weaver along the canal on Tuesday 22 October.
Step away from the rush and spend time by the canal. Join Leeds poet Sammy Weaver in exploring the city’s waterway, looking closer at the nature and stories that live in and around it. Along the way there will be chances to start and write your own poems with prompts and support from Sammy.
A relaxed and welcoming session for anyone interested in creativity, nature and local places – no previous writing experience necessary!
A project funded by Leeds Seasons of Culture and the Poetry School.
