Five Things To Do This Bank Holiday Weekend

28th August 2020

1 – FOLLOW THE TRAILS. Great fun for all ages, follow one of the many city trails to see what surprises you discover. There’s everything from Street Art and Architecture to seeking out Leeds’ Owls and historical sites along the Waterfront.

2 – VISIT THE MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES. Good news! Many of Leeds’ excellent museums and galleries have reopened and are excited to welcome you back. There’s a range of exhibitions, exploring everything from Leeds’ musical history to internationally acclaimed art or remarkable inventions from the city’s brightest minds. Find out what they have in store for you here.

3 – INDULGE WITH A SPOT OF RETAIL THERAPY. The shopping in Leeds is some of the country’s best! You’ll find all the big names here but it’s the unique independents and ornate arcades that really make us stand out. Why not make a day of it like Danni from our team did? You can read her blog here.

4 – ENJOY A MEAL WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY. Leeds offers a whole menu of delicious dining experiences. Relax in sumptuous surroundings where outstanding food and wine is paired with stellar service. Tuck into mouth-watering dishes at our incredible independents. Or try a multi-course tasting menu that will impress any foodie. And there are plenty of excellent bars to choose from for those looking for a night cap or after-dinner cocktail. Please be sure to book your table in advance.

5 – EXPLORE WHAT’S ON YOUR DOORSTEP. You may know the city centre well, but there are so many cool suburbs and quaint villages to be found in the local area. You’ll wonder why you didn’t visit there sooner!

While you can’t attend the carnival in person this year, the party is going virtual. You can find out how to join in online here – sequins and feathers are still encouraged.
