National Theatre Live: The Audience
Helen Mirren returns to cinemas as Queen Elizabeth II in the Olivier and Tony Award®-winning play The Audience, directed by Stephen Daldry.
For six decades, the Queen held a private weekly meeting with each of her twelve prime ministers. From Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron, these audiences reveal the personal and political moments behind the crown, offering an intimate portrait of a monarch navigating change.
Written by Peter Morgan, this West End production was filmed live in 2013 and later inspired the Netflix series The Crown.
