Sunday in the Park with George
Leeds Gilbert & Sullivan Society presents Stephen Sondheim’s masterpiece Sunday in the Park with George.
Inspired by Georges Seurat’s famous painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, this dazzling musical explores the struggles, sacrifices and triumphs of an artist striving to make his mark.
Once again, the award-winning creative duo of director Anita Adams and musical director Adam Boniface bring their acclaimed vision and expertise to the stage, promising an evening of compelling storytelling, rich harmonies and unforgettable theatrical moments. With its sweeping score, witty lyrics and powerful themes of love, legacy and creativity, Sunday in the Park with George remains one of Sondheim’s most celebrated works.
Join Leeds G&S, one of the city’s most distinguished theatre companies, for a production that is as bold, imaginative and moving as the masterpiece that inspired it.
