Leeds singer and saxophonist Emma Coates weaves jazz and folk songwriting to create her unique, intimate sound, taking inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, This Is The Kit and Esperanza Spalding.
Along with Tom McEwen (guitar), Nika Ticciati (bass) and Louis Berthoud (drums), she creates deeply personal storytelling, exploring feminine identity and growth, complimented by the delicate and airy tones of her voice and band.
