The Weight Of Small Things
The Weight of Small Things brings together work by Karen Britcliffe and Richard Baker, two artists based in Leeds whose practices focus on the overlooked, the intimate and the fragile.
Karen Britcliffe’s delicate miniatures and assemblages use found materials to draw attention to traces of time and memory. Richard Baker’s quietly observed paintings capture everyday objects with a stillness that transforms them into something contemplative and enduring.
Presented within the unique setting of Eye Room, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on how small gestures, modest objects and subtle interventions can carry weight and meaning.
