Threads Textile Festival 2026
Sunny Bank Mills’ annual Textile Festival, Threads is back for its third instalment – celebrating textiles through a series of talks, workshops and more.
Threads will take place across the site of Sunny Bank Mills over the weekend of 16th & 17th May 2026.
Alongside the Market in the 1912 Mill with 50 textile stalls each day, we will be running an extensive programme of workshops and talks.
During the event:
• The Textile Market
• Workshops and drop-in sessions for all ages
• Talks from a range of speakers
• A large pop-up exhibition on the 3rd floor of the 1912 Mill
• For the Love of Textiles – a textile exhibition in the Gallery
The Textile Market is open 10am – 5pm Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th May 2026.
£4 entry on the door (carers & under 12s free) – no prebooking required.
PLEASE NOTE – prebooking a ticket does not gain you access to the front of the queue during busy periods. Your ticket will need to be checked on the front desk and you will be given a paper entry ticket which will gain you access in and out of the Market for the rest of the day.
Keep an eye our website for a full list of Threads events and Market stallholders.
The venue of the Textile Market is on the first floor of the 1912 Mill, which is accessed via one flight of stairs or a wheelchair accessible lift. We will have attendants on hand to offer assistance. If you have any queries, please email arts@sunnybankmills.co.uk.
The fair will be loud and busy at times, but areas of the Mills, including the Gallery and Tea Room will be open throughout the weekend for a more relaxed shopping and seating experience.
Free parking, included limited accessible parking is available around the Mill site and on Farsley Town Street.
If you need any assistance throughout the weekend, find a Mill Host in a pink hi vis vest.
