Little Listeners: Mini Magic Flute
Discover the charm of opera together with a magical musical adventure designed especially for families and young children.
Little Listeners: Mini Magic Flute is a lively, 40-minute adaptation of Mozart’s famous opera “The Magic Flute”. Performed by a trio of professional opera singers and an accordionist, the show follows a Prince on a quest to find a Princess. Along the way, audiences will meet a whole host of colourful, fantastical characters, including a dragon and a bird-catcher.
The production offers an ideal, relaxed introduction to live classical music. While the performance welcome listeners of all ages, it is particularly suited to children aged 4-7.
Ahead of the performance at the Howard Assembly Room on 11 July, families can also take part in a hands-on craft session. Children will have the chance to make a paper bird to use during the show as part of the story, which they can then take home as a memento of their day out.
