The Calder Vale Hotel
The Calder Vale Hotel, home of the Luddite Brewing Co Ltd, was built in 1874 and re-opened in 2019 after a 2 year renovation.
The pub operates as the brewery tap and is situated close to the Calder river and canal, and the Horbury lagoons, all of which are popular local dog walking areas. The renovation was carried out with dog-friendliness being one of the primary considerations. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome and fresh water bowls and doggie-treats are provided.
Large log-burners provide a toasty, warm environment when it’s chilly outside and, when the weather is set fair, there is a large, sunny beer garden to the rear.
