Traditional African rhythms and songs form the core part of the repertoire, in addition to songs from Bulgaria, Georgia, Macedonia, China, France, Finland, Israel, Hawaii, New Zealand, Columbia and the Amazon and a sprinkling of spirituals and gospel music.

Sung in the original language, Chechele try to capture the spirit of the song using movement, actions, percussion, drumming, calling and plenty of ululation .

Paula is a compelling singer / songwriter, born and bred in Tipperary, Ireland, whose powerful, insightful songs are inspired by the lyricism and musical passion of her Irish roots and driven by the funky rhythmic influences and instruments of music from other cultures.

To accompany her songs, Paula plays marimba / tongue drum, guitar and a variety of percussion instruments including bodhran, djembe and darabuka.
