Dir Jesse Eisenberg/1hr 30mins/Certificate 15/2024
This Oscar winning film stars Kieran Culkin as Benji Kaplan and Jesse Eisenberg as David Kaplan – two mismatched cousins who reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother, but their adventure takes a dark turn when the odd couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.
Reviews:
Roger Ebert: 4 star review – a film by Jesse Eisenberg about two cousins traveling to Poland to learn about their grandmother’s Holocaust experience.
The Guardian: With no great fanfare, Jesse Eisenberg has just given us a masterpiece. This is an effortlessly witty, fluent and astringent comedy with a very serious overcurrent.
Tickets £6.50/£5.50 available from HEART reception and online (students and unwaged)
