Manchester born drummer Miles Pillinger has combined his love of jazz and Brazilian music with his energetic but sensitive playing. A Leeds conservatoire graduate Currently living in London, Miles is eager to share his original compositions, along with the compositions of his biggest inspirations, including, Hermeto Pascoal, Wayne Shorter and Joshua Redman, alongside his band of Leeds all-star musicians: Fergus quill on bass, Nico Widdowson on piano, Olivia Cuttill on Trumpet and James Absalom on Saxophone.
Miles has become increasingly inspired by raw, organic live gigs and recordings and wanted to capture that with his music. His debut EP ‘Sunrise’ which was released earlier this year has already had multiple radio streams including Jazz FM, being described as “the voice of youth” (Nikki Yeoh).
