Planet Omar with Zanib Mian – Author Event
Come and meet Zanib Mian, the creator of this laugh-out-loud story, as she introduces Omar and his family, talks about what inspired her to write the book and chats about some school trip mayhem.
The Planet Omar series combine Zanib Mian’s hilarious text and Nasaya Mafaridik’s fantastic cartoon-style illustrations to tell stories of everyday life that will have you laughing so hard that snot comes out of your nose (plus you might meet a dragon and a zombie – what more could you want?).
Planet Omar won the Little Rebels Award 2018, as well as being shortlisted for the UKLA Award and nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal.
Copies of Zanib’s books will be available to buy and have signed at the event. Delivered in partnership with The British Library.
A free family-friendly event recommended for children aged 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
