Sam Sweeney Trio
The Sam Sweeney Trio brings together three of the UK’s most distinctive folk musicians: Sam Sweeney (fiddle), Ben Nicholls (double bass) and Louis Campbell (guitar). Drawing on music from across Sam’s discography, the trio blends deep-rooted tradition with a modern, forward-thinking approach.
Widely regarded as one of the finest fiddle players of his generation, Sam Sweeney is known for his expressive playing and cinematic compositions. He is joined by Ben Nicholls, whose rich tone and groove provide a powerful foundation, and Louis Campbell, a rising talent whose inventive guitar work adds colour and edge.
Together, the trio creates music that is intimate, expansive and driven by compelling musical conversation.
