There Is Sweet Music
Join us for the second of our Spring concerts at St Chad’s Far-Headingley!
Founded in 1948, Leeds Guild of Singers has established a reputation as one of Yorkshire’s finest chamber choirs and is a group of around 40 singers which prides itself on a light, flexible and pure sound.
We sing a wide and adventurous repertoire of sacred and secular music, mostly unaccompanied and spanning seven centuries. We give about six concerts each season in a variety of venues in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region.
This concert’s programme will include:
Francis Poulenc: Four Lenten Motets
C H H Parry: Songs of Farewell
plus Judith Weir, Herbert Howells, Edward Elgar and the second performance of our 2025 commission from Scottish composer Martin Suckling.
