Travelling by Train
The Art Hostel is in the centre of Leeds: only a 10-minute walk from Leeds bus and coach station, and a 20-minute walk from Leeds train station, or 4 stops on the number 19, 16 or 4 bus. You can catch the A1 Flyer bus from Leeds Bradford Airport, which will bring you all the way to Leeds bus station.
Art Hostel
Temporarily Closed for Renovations
A completely unique experience, the Art Hostel offers the opportunity to sleep inside the creative imagination of artists, in the heart of Leeds. The radical space offers beds for up to 60 guests spread across twelve remarkable rooms – six bespoke private en suites for creative travellers and tourists alike, and six shared dorm rooms for backpackers or a more sociable stay.
With no two rooms the same, guests have a catalogue of artistic installations to choose from. An entire cabinet of collected snow globes, a galaxy of found footballs or a multicoloured woollen ceiling are just a few features that finish the vibrant rooms! Visitors can also relax in the eclectic lounge, enjoy a complimentary light breakfast in the colourful kitchen, or join the weekly ‘Tuesday Tea’ for a delicious evening meal cooked by one of the Art Hostels volunteers or visiting artists.
Less than a mile from the shops, food and entertainment of the city centre, the Art Hostel is a peaceful and relaxing stay in the heart of Leeds. Offering the perfect place to explore Leeds, the Art Hostel is just one mile from the train station and 0.5 mile from the bus station. Leeds has a thriving independent grassroots and DIY art scene, and the Art Hostel encourages visitors to access the city’s artistic underbelly. As a social enterprise for East Street Arts, the Art Hostel helps build financial sustainability for the organisation and is contributing towards making Leeds’ cultural economy more resilient.
