Beningbrough
Surrounded by parkland, with riverside and woodland walks is one of the most important houses of its period in Yorkshire. For over 300 years Beningbrough has continually been reinvented by its many occupants. The architecture, intricate carved paneling and furnished rooms create the elegant setting for the collection on the ground floor and tells the story of a grand country house. The spacious and light filled Reddihough Galleries on the first-floor display exhibitions of contemporary and historic art with interactives for all ages. The garden is experiencing a renaissance. New planting schemes and garden rooms designed by award winning garden designer Andy Sturgeon develop and enhance the herbaceous borders, walled garden and American garden.
