Connect: Floristry through the Seasons (Part One: Stepping Into Spring)
Join local florist and grower Gemma of Wildwood Corner to connect with the seasons through beautiful, scented, locally grown flowers.
Three sessions earmark the seasons, using both garden-grown flowers and those sourced from local flower farms, to ensure that you have the most exciting, seasonal and sustainable flowers to use in your work.
Gemma will be on hand with expert advice on floral seasonality including what you can grow yourself, find easily, or dry and use again. This way you can continue your inspiration and your feeling of connection with the outside world through each season, and you can create more beauty for your home outside of the sessions.
You do not need to have any prior experience for these workshops. In each session, you’ll be guided through some basic floristry skills to create something really special to take away with you.
Sunday 12th April: Season One: Stepping Into Spring
You’ll create a spring vase arrangement with lots of seasonal impact.
Sunday 23rd August: Season Two: High Summer
You’ll create a bouquet of absolute summer abundance.
Sunday 4th October: Season Three: Autumn Tactics
You’ll create a flowing autumn bowl and start to introduce some dried elements into your work.
You can book on for one, two or all seasons, with a discount for those looking to follow the journey throughout the year.
These workshops are suitable for both beginner and intermediate, with all materials and guidance provided. Your workshop ticket also includes complimentary tea or coffee, and a baked treat from Slow Rise Bakery.
