Letterpress: Wood Type Posters
Join us for a creative day of letterpress printing with our growing wood type collection.
Explore our newly made wooden typefaces, along with our collection of various donated type. Work on our traditional Albion and Imperial relief presses and our galley proofing presses to make your own edition of printed posters on cartridge papers.
You’ll learn simple techniques to set up wood type for printing and have the chance to explore creative approaches to inking the type. Along the way you’ll learn some letterpress terminology and fascinating printing stories, leaving with some colourful prints lots of ideas for next steps.
