The Ballad of Johnny and June
Johnny Cash. June Carter. Two voices that changed music forever.
The Ballad of Johnny and June is a brand-new musical that brings the remarkable true story of country music’s most iconic couple to the stage.
From the director of Jersey Boys, this exhilarating production charts the highs and lows of Johnny and June’s extraordinary relationship. A story of devotion, temptation, resilience and redemption, it captures the whirlwind romance that saw them endure personal struggles, professional triumphs and the pressures of life in the spotlight, emerging as one of music’s most enduring partnerships.
Starring Christopher Ryan Grant (Million Dollar Quartet) and Christina Bianco (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wizard of Oz), the show captures the spark, passion and magnetic chemistry that made Johnny and June legends both on and off stage.
Featuring a live band and a soundtrack packed with timeless hits, including I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Jackson, A Boy Named Sue and Hurt, this is a powerful celebration of two artists whose influence continues to resonate across generations.
Behind the hits, the headlines and the fame was a relationship that defied easy definition: complex, enduring and fuelled by a chemistry that continues to fascinate audiences to this day.
