Rainbow Factory
When it comes to creative entertainment, the Rainbow Factory is the place to be! We are open to the public in school holidays & for special events only – so please ensure you check our events calendar or call us before visiting!
This unique attraction specialises in storytelling through the creative arts, including theatre, crafts & games that inspire and delight children aged 10 and under. Activities are run by a talented team of performers and can include model-making, treasure hunts, silly science & slime-making!
Step into a storytelling wonderland where you can make watch original performances in the Enchanted Theatre, marvel at handmade models of storybook characters, meet our resident dragon and much more.
Past events have included Alice’s Easter Adventure, Harry Potter Book Night, Roald Dahl Day and Amazing Authorsí Week.
Most weekdays during term-time are booked up with our fabulous school trips in the factory, plus our theatre-in-education packages – where we take our performances & workshops into schools.
Plus we regularly stage special events for babies, toddlers and preschoolers – which as well as being great fun, also help to develop children’s curiosity, imagination and confidence.
At weekends we are generally closed to the public, in order to run our hugely popular birthday parties, which can be designed around your child’s favourite book.
The Rainbow Factory is located just 15 minutes from Leeds city centre, 20 mins from Bradford and 30 minutes from Harrogate.
Looking for a day out with a difference? You’ve found it!
