A Christmas Carol at Slung Low
When Jacob Marley returns from the grave, he brings a warning
His former business partner Ebenezer Scrooge is heading for a fate worse than death itself.
Armed with rattling chains and desperate determination, Marley enlists three extraordinary allies in his mission of salvation.
Enter the Spirits of Christmas:
a fierce Viking Shamaness channelling ancient Yule magic,
a mischievous Germanic princess with gallows wit and boundless energy,
and a terrifying wraith wrapped in festive red and sleigh bells.
But can these supernatural forces crack open the armoured heart of a man who has spent decades perfecting the art of isolation? In this bold new adaptation, Scrooge’s transformation becomes a psychological battleground where past trauma, present loneliness, and future dread collide.
Will Christmas morning bring redemption… or has Scrooge’s heart frozen beyond all hope of thaw?
Join us around Leeds this December to discover if some spirits can indeed be saved in this special Pay What You Can production
Run time: Approximately Two Hours (with a 20 minute interval)
Suitable for ages: 8+ (Please note: some scenes may be spooky for younger children.)
