An Evening with the Northern Poets Collective
Join us for a compelling mix of poetry, performance and conversation, exploring what on earth a group of acclaimed, Yorkshire-based writers and performers mean when they describe themselves as ‘northern’. And, indeed, as ‘poets’.
The Northern Poets Collective formed after they appeared together at the Word Up North / BBC Contains Strong Language Festival in Bradford, in 2025.
And now, you can enjoy an evening with Rachel Bower, Emily Zobel Marsahall, Nabeela Ahmed and Antony Dunn who sit at a crossroads, meshing the personal and political, critical and creative, using poetry to provoke, to resist – and to help us fall in love again, with others, with ourselves, and with the natural world.
This event is part of Farsley Lit Fest. Books by the authors will be available to buy and have signed on the evening.
