Leodis Cup 2026
History will collide on the 16th and 17th May at Kirkstall Abbey where the Leodis Cup opens its gates for the first time as the UK’s first ever Regional-level Buhurt competition. Between the Buhurt bouts, explore authentic living history showcases from our skilled reenactors, making this a full historical experience for the whole crowd.
Watch fully armoured fighters clash in brutal 5v5 battles and free for alls as part of a Buhurt Tournament (a modern full contact fighting sport characteristic of tournaments in the middle ages) to win the coveted Leodis Cup.
Also featuring a living history camp, historical entertainment, food stalls, and vendors. It is a celebration of medieval history and how we interpret it through various mediums today.
Gates open at 9.30am with the first matches starting at 10am. Award ceremony at 5pm on Sunday.
Tickets for the public available on the door on the day. Entry: £5 per adult per day. U16s Free*
*U16s need to have an accompanying adult with them and a maximum of two per adult for this rate
