IDAHoBiT Leeds, community together
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia 2026.
This year’s gathering brings together an amazing mix of local, grassroots and community‑led organisations, all united by a shared commitment to challenging homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, and celebrating our LGBTQ+ communities.
As part of our IDAHoBiT Leeds 2026 event, themed “At the Heart of Democracy”, we’re really pleased to confirm that Alison Lowe OBE, West Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing & Crime, will be joining us on the morning of the event for a relaxed cuppa & chat. No speeches. No stage. Just conversation, listening and connection, very much in the spirit of IDAHoBiT and our belief that communities belong at the heart of democratic life. Alison will be available in the PAYF cafe in Age UK Leeds from 10am until 11.30am.
We invite all members of the community to join us in standing against discrimination and affirming our shared commitment to dignity, respect, and freedom for all
