Silver Birch – The lost Acoustic Ladyland Album
Silver Birch is the long-lost next chapter of Acoustic Ladyland.
In 2011, the genre-destroying punk-jazz band planned to re-emerge under a new name: Silver Birch. Pete Wareham, Chris Sharkey, Ruth Goller and Seb Rochford recorded what Wareham felt was their strongest album yet — High on the Western Hill — before the project disappeared and Wareham moved on to form Melt Yourself Down.
Fifteen years later, the record is finally being released by Kit Records, and a new incarnation of Silver Birch — featuring Max Hallett / Betamax of The Comet Is Coming on drums — will perform the music live for the first time.
