TNL: Kristina Stead
Tuesday Night Live: KRISTINA STEAD
Doors 7pm Music 7.15pm
Sonic Sunshine Storyteller Kristina Stead is a hopeless optimist in a hopeless world. A songwriter who refuses to settle for surface-level pop, she blends introspective storytelling with intricate arrangements influenced by artists like Anais Mitchell, MIKA and boundary pushers such as Kate Bush. Her music carries a bright, joyful energy even when the themes are heavier. Every song is built with care, curiosity and emotional honesty.
Her work stands out because she tackles cultural pressure, burnout, identity, insomnia, family and the quiet truths people avoid, all while wrapping them in catchy hooks and vivid imagery. She aims to bring artistry and critical thought back into pop music at a time when much of the industry leans on boring formulas. Her songs act as little epiphanies, nudging listeners to look at the world differently. Her mission is to shine her light in the darkness of this world, exposing the toxic habits that society normalises, while also bringing back joy in to music.
Kristina Stead is not escapism. It is illumination. It is pop with purpose, created for real people who want to think, feel and wake up from numb Consumerism, and step into a joyful sonic landscape of intentionality, purpose and meaning.
