Your Future Leeds: 400 Years Ahead
What will Leeds look like in the future? Join us this May half term to discover amazing stories from Leeds’ past and use them to help you design your own future city. It could be full of nature, floating buildings, underground worlds, or anything you can imagine!
We are delighted to host this event in collaboration with Leeds Libraries. We will be welcomed by Local History Librarian, Sally Hughes who will be taking you on a tour of the Leeds Libraries Special Collections. On this tour you will see Special Collection items depicting the history of Leeds including historical photographs, playbills, maps and newspapers.
After the tour, we will head back for a creative workshop to design your future city. The art we create can be submitted to our Leeds400 Art Competition.
If you don’t get a chance to finish at the library, don’t worry, you will be able to take away a special pack to help you complete your piece and enter it into the art competition.
This is a pay-what-you-can event. Materials will be provided, such as paper, pens, and some collage materials, but you are more than welcome to bring along your own sketchbooks.
We look forward to seeing you!
Please book a ticket for each child and for each adult in attendance, as there is limited capacity in the room. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket so that somebody else can take your place.
