Alexia Gardner Quintet

Alexia Gardner, international jazz vocalist and recording artist, returned to the UK in the Summer of 2023 after years of performing and recording in South East Asia, Europe and United States. Grammy Award nominated as ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best Vocal Jazz Album’, she leads a dynamic and swinging quintet based in the North East of the UK, making a name for themselves as a swinging and entrtaining band.
Harry Keeble is a jazz saxophonist originally from East Sussex, now based in the North East of England. Known for a strong tone and style, he cites a wide array of inspirations from Joe Henderson, to Coltrane, through to Chris Potter and even Allan Holdsworth.
Alan Law is a Sussex born, Newcastle based pianist who is a veteran of the North East scene. Following classical study in his home town of Rye, he realised he could play better by ear, and started playing local blues and rock n roll bands. Jazz came later, mainly through getting the piano chair in the Friday night band at the Newcastle Jazz Cafe.
Jude Murphy has been a professional musician and bassist since the late 1980s. She started out her career singing and playing flute/sax in international hotels across Europe and the Middle East, as well as researching a PhD in folk and vernacular music.
Abbie Finn gained a 1st Class Degree in Jazz from Leeds Conservatoire and a Masters degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Her current main projects are the Abbie Finn Trio, Finntet and the Finn-Keeble Group. She performs with a range of other bands, and is a regular drummer for artists visiting the area including Vasilis Xenopoulos, Andrea Vicari, Alan Barnes, Simon Spillett and more.
