Richard Durrant: The Art of Levitation
A wonderful live music event for acoustic and classical guitar lovers and the musically curious. Featuring Richard’s original, haunting guitar music including his newly-released track The Art of Levitation.
Indie-classical composer & concert guitarist Richard Durrant will also play his own arrangements of music from the High Baroque, the English Baroque and (in a fascinating homage to John Renbourn, Bert Jansch & Martin Carthy) the English Folk Baroque.
Durrant’s intriguingly unpretentious style of delivery should not belie the emotional depth of his music; witness the onstage persona of an informative, friendly stand-up and the playing of one of the world’s most inventive, guitar virtuosos.
As heard live on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6 Music.(featured by Cerys Matthews, Tom Robinson, Sean Rafferty & Petroc Trelawney)
