Read to the Beat – The Rap School
Join world champion rapper Rob Bradley for an interactive rap workshop celebrating this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. Participants will watch a live freestyle rap performance where they can give random words to Rob and see him turn them into rhymes on the spot. They will then explore how to find rhymes and rap on beat, before taking inspiration from their favourite books to write and perform their own rap. No experience needed and participants can get as involved as they wish. Taking place at various venues:
Monday 3rd August, 10.30am-11.30am – Leeds City Library
Monday 3rd August, 1.30pm-2.30pm – Dewsbury Road Community Hub and Library
