The Spin
A sweet and uplifting comedy about two lifelong music fans, their friendship, the role music plays in their lives, and the lengths they go to in order to protect what they hold precious while chasing their dreams.
Based on the semi-autobiographical experiences of Omagh musician Mark McCausland, The Spin follows Dermot and Elvis, who are down on their luck and face losing their small record shop, Boneyard Records. Their ruthless landlord Sadie is eager to evict due to unpaid rent.
The pair stumble across rare vintage records by blues legend Robert Johnson that are for sale in Cork at a knock-down price. If they can make it across Ireland in time, they might be able to change their fortunes and save the record shop!
They set off on a chaotic road trip full of unexpected encounters, new friendships and shenanigans in pursuit of the holy grail of vinyl records.
