Behind the Scenes: History Tour
What stories can the walls of Thackray tell?
From the secrets of a Victorian workhouse and the challenges of a wartime hospital to the creation of the NHS, our remarkable building has witnessed pivotal moments in healthcare history.
Now it’s your chance to go beyond the galleries and uncover the stories hidden in our 150-year-old building. Through real-life accounts of the people who worked and received care here and exclusive access to our neighbouring chapel, don’t miss your moment to travel through time and get hands-on with history.
This ticket includes free admission to the museum galleries on the day of your tour.
