Cara Dillon
Few voices linger in the soul like Cara Dillon’s. A towering figure in Irish music, she has earned global acclaim and numerous awards, including a Meteor Award and four BBC Folk Awards.
For nearly 30 years, she has occupied a singular place in folk music, her voice deceptively delicate yet emotionally powerful, evoking something timeless and elemental.
At the heart of her career is her husband and collaborator Sam Lakeman, whose work as composer and producer has helped shape her sound. Their intimate live performances draw from across her catalogue, blending traditional songs with material from Coming Home (2024), a profound meditation on identity that confirms Dillon’s rare gift as both singer and storyteller.
