Fuse perform “In the Garden” @Temple Newsam
Fuse will be in residence at Temple Newsam House and Gardens from 10am–5pm on Wednesday 26 August and Friday 28 August. Join us on the terrace from 3pm as the performance begins.
Throughout the day, you can watch our dance company in rehearsals and see how the piece develops, as we respond to the nature around us.
There will be opportunities to learn sections of “Moving on Up” and “Woodland” – two contrasting pieces that move from upbeat energy to tranquil, mindful pacing. You can also watch company members perform our new work “Fluttering’s” – a guided, promenade dance experience that leads you through the gardens. The session is open to all ages and abilities.
Please come prepared for the weather: bring raincoats and umbrellas. Activities will take place both outdoors and inside the house.
Garden activities are free.
(Please stay tuned on socials for weather updates.)
House entrance is £10.
This project is part of the Seasons of Culture Programme, funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council through the Leeds Cultural Investment Programme.
Virtual Gallery – Send Us Your Pictures
We’re inviting you to share your favourite images of gardens, flowers or pot plants — whether from your own garden, a local park or even a grass verge. These green spaces can mean many things, and we’d love to feature your pictures in our new virtual gallery.
Please send submissions to: rachel.wesson@ascendance.org.uk
