Gouache Workshop with Dawn Blatherwick
Gouache is a water-based medium that is incredibly opaque with a high colour saturation, making it the ideal medium to paint flowers and the great outdoors, or the beautiful rich coloured interior of Lotherton Hall.
The day will begin with an introduction to gouache, learning brushstroke skills and how to mix and apply this medium. Dawn will demonstrate her technique and talk you through her full process. Working through composition and how to achieve depth, with colour.
After a buffet lunch in the Servants Hall you will head out to create your own painting supervised throughout the afternoon by Dawn. If the day is fine, we will be working in the gardens, but if it is raining we will be working inside the house.
Includes buffet lunch and include all materials. 10am – 4pm.
£75 per person, includes buffet lunch and materials.
