Marbling & Book Binding at Kirkstall Forge
Create your own hand bound books using Japanese Stab Binding and your own hand marbled covers.
During this workshop you’ll create unique swirling patterns with brightly coloured marbling inks on a variety of papers and cards. These will act as a cover for a hand bound book, we’ll be using Japanese stab binding techniques to create books with a variety of decorative stitching. You will leave the workshop with at least one book.
This workshop will take place in Butlers at Kirkstall Forge. There’s a train station on site and Kirkstall Forge wants to encourage sustainability, but if you’d like a parking space let me know and we can get one arranged. The cafe sadly isn’t open during workshops but do feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.
Course conditions:
The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn’t meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 7 days before the event however after that no refund can be given.
Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes prior to the workshop unless previously discussed.
