Melodies DJ Academy x Speedqueen Q&A
Come and try your hand at spinning the decks in an engaging workshop for young enthusiasts exploring the world of music mixing.
After playing at some of the best club nights in the UK including a two decade residency at the legendary night SPEEDQUEEN, Miss Melodie originally set up her DJ Academy to help encourage and support women and girls into this very exciting career at a time when DJing was much more male dominated. Today the Academy runs courses for everyone with a thriving junior DJ programme.
Celebrate 90s club culture, learn about beat matching and creative performance techniques, develop your DJ skills, listen to tracks from the 90s and stories from behind the decks with original Speedqueen DJs all featured in the Music Leeds Us Exhibition.
If you’ve got a DJ dream you want to follow or a burning question you want to ask please come along! Drop-in.
