Walk for Parkinson’s, Yorkshire
Walk for Parkinson’s is our flagship fundraising event here in Yorkshire. This year we are raising money for our Nurse Appeal, which helps fund new nurse posts and specialists, and deliver extra training in Parkinson’s to healthcare professionals. All to help people with Parkinson’s live well with the condition.
The Nurse Appeal, which aims to raise £9 million in 3 years, could fund 25 nurses, 30 allied health professionals and 6 clinical fellowships, increasing the Parkinson’s specialist workforce by 10%. This will give thousands of people with Parkinson’s access to the specialist care they need.
The short route follows accessible pavement and compact paths. The long route features a mix of concrete, trails, and woodland, including some hilly sections.
Please note, the routes may be subject to small changes.
1.1 miles or 6.1 miles
6.1-mile route challenge rating: Challenging
Registration is £12 for an adult and under 18’s are free. Dogs on a lead are warmly welcomed!
Everyone who registers will get a Walk for Parkinson’s t-shirt and a medal on completion.
