Explore Printmaking – 5 Week Course
This course will introduce you to some of the processes you can access at Leeds Print Workshop and give you the basic skills to continue using them after the course. The tutor will demonstrate:
– Monoprinting – using oil based relief printing inks you will produce one-off multicolour prints working with paper stencils and our presses.
– Collograph – you will use collage to create images that will be printed using our our presses.
– Drypoint – working directly onto a printing plate you will use various mark-making tools and then print using our specialist our presses.
– Linocut – Single colour. Using specialist cutting tools you will be shown how to safely cut lino and print using relief inks, rollers, presses, barens and burnishers.
You will learn each of the processes in a supportive environment with all equipment and materials provided.
