The Godfathers
British punk and new wave pioneers The Godfathers are going into the next round! Following the huge success of their Birth, School, Work, Death anniversary tour in 2023 and 2024, they will be embarking on a major 40th Anniversary Tour in 2025 to celebrate their 40th anniversary as a band!
40 years, 9 studio albums, old and new classics, the new wave pioneers around frontman Peter Coyne can look back on a brilliant career. With their second album ‘Birth School Work Death’, The Godfathers laid the foundations for the punk and new wave sound of the 90s at the end of the 80s and are still regarded as groundbreaking for countless bands, such as Die Ärzte. Their 40th Anniversary Tour will take them on a journey through time across the band’s extensive discography and a corresponding best-of set spanning four decades.
Since their reunion in 2008, the line-up has been strengthened by former members of Heavy Drapes and The Damned, among others.
