LIT Ibiza Takeover August Bank Holiday Sunday Party
LIT Ibiza Takeover Returns to CrowdedHouse This August Bank Holiday — Featuring Renegade Soundsystem, Curated by Sara Garvey, in Collaboration with Ibiza’s iconic pool party and global brand SOUL HEAVEN
Some parties chase trends. Others create them.
On Sunday 30 August, LIT Ibiza Takeover returns to the rooftop at CrowdedHouse, Trinity Leeds for an all-day Bank Holiday session curated by Sara Garvey—DJ, producer, founder of Moonunit Records and one of the UK’s most trusted musical selectors.
The response has already spoken for itself. Early Bird and First Release tickets have completely sold out.
For over a decade, Sara Garvey has quietly built one of Leeds’ most respected Sunday institutions. Beginning with parties at Angelica in 2014, evolving into Café del Mar Sundays in 2017 and launching LIT Ibiza Takeover the following year, her philosophy has never changed: discover tomorrow’s artists before tomorrow arrives.
This isn’t about booking the biggest names. It’s about recognising greatness before the algorithm does.
LIT Ibiza Takeover has earned the trust of its community because people don’t buy tickets based on a headliner—they buy them because they know the music will be exceptional. Time and again, the party has introduced artists long before festival posters and international line-ups came calling.
Before the hype, there was LIT.
Before the breakthrough, there was LIT.
Before everyone else knew, they were already playing the terrace.
From Smokey Bubblin’ B, SWEELY, Little Dragon, Laurence Guy and Dimitri From Paris, Bear Winder the story has repeated itself again and again. Spot the talent early. Give it the right room. Let the music speak.
This Bank Holiday continues that tradition.
Making their Leeds debut are Renegade Soundsystem—and this feels like one of those moments.
The vinyl-only collaboration between Renegade and Terrell isn’t interested in shortcuts. No sync buttons. No laptops. No pre-programmed routines. Just decades of record collecting, instinctive selection and extended blends delivered entirely by hand. House slips effortlessly into garage. Breakbeat emerges unexpectedly. Minimal grooves stretch and breathe. Forgotten records find new life alongside timeless classics.
It’s DJing as craft rather than content.
Their sets unfold patiently, allowing dancefloors to discover rather than consume. The result is immersive, deeply musical and refreshingly uncompromising—exactly the kind of act LIT Ibiza Takeover has become known for championing. You’ll probably be hearing a lot more about them over the next few years.
Remember where you heard them first.
At the centre of it all is Sara Garvey, whose own career continues to accelerate without ever compromising the values that built it. Recently relocating to London, she has expanded her reach with appearances alongside Ron Strent, Masters At Work, Kerri Chandler, Moodymann and at institutions including Ministry of Sound, while securing her a residency at the legendary Hard Times.
Yet LIT Ibiza Takeover remains her passion project.
More than an event, it has become a platform. Over the years Sara has consistently created opportunities not only for emerging DJs, but also photographers, filmmakers, creatives and independent brands. The result is a genuine community built around curiosity, integrity and exceptional music.
Joining her on the rooftop is Leeds favourite DJ Martin, the quietly influential force behind LFO and countless projects that have helped shape the city’s musical landscape, a veritable Spiderman of electronic music. Those who caught his extended set at the Summer Opening Party know exactly why he’ll once again be given the space to take dancers on a proper journey. At LIT, DJs aren’t rushed through hour-long appearances. They’re trusted to build something memorable.
Completing the line-up is ZYRO—DJ, promoter, connector and one of the city’s most exciting emerging talents. With infectious energy and a rapidly developing sound, he represents the next chapter of the Leeds scene, and LIT Ibiza Takeover is proud to provide another platform for that evolution.
As always, expect Balearic sunshine, underground house, impeccable selection and one of the most musically informed crowds in the North.
No gimmicks.
No compromises.
Just great records, played properly, high above the city.
