Sense and Sensibility (12A TBC)
When Mr Dashwood dies, his widow and three daughters are left with next to nothing, forced out of their Sussex home and into a modest cottage. Whilst Elinor is steady and sensible Elinor, her younger sister Marianne is all impulsive heart and no restraint. Between them they fall for two very different men: the quietly honourable Edward Ferrars, and the dashing, unreliable John Willoughby.
Boasting a brilliant cast and shot across genuine historic houses in Dorset, Knebworth, and Devon, this wonderfully realised new adaptation leans fully into the stiff-collared formality of the period while keeping Austen’s wit intact.
