Seven by Seven
We have invited the brilliant Seven By Seven crew to join us at Left Bank for a sunny summer evening of eclectic tunes!
Seven by Seven is a friendly open decks vinyl playing session. You can bring along and play seven of your 7” 45rpm vinyl singles or just come along and listen.
The 7” 45rpm format is the only restriction! Seven by Seven don’t dictate the type of music – you can play whatever you want to and everyone loves that variety!
If you’d like to play, arrive early to put your name down. Names are drawn out of a hat for the running order, it’s a popular event so arriving early gives you a better chance of playing! They do try to fit in as many seven record sets as they can – but if there’s high numbers wanting to play – sets may be reduced to 5 vinyl’s to give everyone the opportunity.
There’s no pressure – no competition – no egos
That’s their ethos – and no previous DJ experience is needed!
Seven by Seven aim to create a welcoming space for people to come and play – perfectly aligned with Left Bank’s ethos too! They focus on people who might otherwise not have the opportunity or confidence to do something like this. If you are an experienced DJ please park any advanced mixing skills at the door and just play us your records.
Seven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. They run their sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience so come along and listen, dance or play with us!
