North by Northeast Goes Cinema 1(8)
Enjoy a cold beverage and a carefully curated programme of Yorkshire’s finest short films. With most filmmakers in attendance, this is a great opportunity to discuss your next project with future collaborators!
This edition of North by Northeast features a panel discussion with industry professionals to answer your most asked questions:
How do I get funding for my short film?
How do I get my short film into festivals?
How do I make the transition from shorts to features?
There will be two halves of short films and a 30-minute interval, for an opportunity to network with the filmmakers and to take part in the infamous Milk Teeth raffle!
Tickets to the event are Pay What You Can (suggested amount £5). If you are unable to pay, please email Milk Teeth at info@milkteethproductions.co.uk for a free ticket.
About Milk Teeth Productions
Sally and Fran set up Milk Teeth in 2023, after making their first comedy short together, with the aim to connect local filmmakers and give them a platform to showcase their work. Through North by Northeast (NXNE), their regular short film night, creatives can try out new ideas, see their films on the big screen and connect with like-minded artists.
The duo approaches filmmaking with curiosity and playfulness, and they have made shorts about a variety of themes, such as the wild swimming community in Leeds.
They’re part of Scalarama Leeds in September and also host film screenings and events throughout the year.
